Venilale is one of the famous tourist destinations in East Timor. This is a sub district in Baucau District. This is a wonderful place to visit while on a tour to the country. Venilale is perched at an elevation of 599 meters above sea level.

There are a number of places of interest in Venilale that are definitely worth a visit. You can see the tunnels that were constructed by the Japanese during their occupation of this region in the Second World War.

Another point of interest in the sub district is the Escola do Reino de Venilale. Also known as School of the Kingdom of Venilale, this place has been reconstructed and renovated.
