Davao
The City of Davao The Premier City of The South, The City in Bloom, The City of Royalties (Tagalog: Lungsod ng Dabaw; Cebuano: Dakbayan sa Dabaw) is the largest city on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines.
It is the country’s largest city in terms of land area, occupying 2,444 square kilometers. Its international airport and seaport are among the busiest cargo hubs in the southern Philippines.
Davao City is also one of several cities in the Philippines that are independent of any province, though it is usually grouped with Davao del Sur for statistical purposes. The city is also the regional center for Davao Region (Region XI).
