Bengbu
Bengbu City, located in the northern part of Anhui Province, is in the reaches of Huaihe River, between 117¡ã12′ E. Longitude and 32¡ã57′ N. Latitude.
It was given the name of Pearl City since it had abundant pearl resources in ancient times.
Being the first city in Anhui Province, Bengbu was formally established as a city directly under the Provincial jurisdiction on January 1, 1947.
Bengbu City has Suixi County, Suzhou City, Lingbi County, and Sixian County to the north; Huainan City, Fengyang County to the south; Mingguang City, Sihong County of Jiangsu Province to the West; Mengcheng County and Fengtai County to the west.
